The Dandora Initiative empowers children born and raised in Dandora ( a resource constraint environment in Nairobi, Kenya) by identifying and naturing those with sports talent(soccer), musical talent and dance.

The Movement System, created by Dr. Matthew Casturo, is an outstanding resource for understanding movement, strength, rehabilitation, and performance. His ability to bridge scientific evidence with practical application, while emphasizing education, critical thinking, and better professional practice, makes his work highly valuable to anyone passionate about Exercise Science.
A friendship built on a shared ideology in Exercise Science between Richard Omondi, a Kenyan-based strength and conditioning coach, and Dr. Matthew Casturo became the foundation of the Dandora Initiative. What began as an idea was strengthened by Dr. Casturo’s belief in the vision and his willingness to support it from its earliest stages.
Dr. Casturo was instrumental in helping build the initiative from the ground up. His guidance, trust, sponsorship, and willingness to invest in the project before it had an established foundation helped turn the vision into something real. The Dandora community will always be grateful that he believed in the initiative before it had the opportunity to prove itself.
