Support the Initiative

Every shilling given goes into food, books, and boots for children in Dandora. Here is exactly how we are funded, how your donation reaches us, and what it pays for.

How We Are Funded

The Dandora Initiative runs on individual donations. We have no institutional grant behind us and no paid fundraising team — the programmes you see on this site are paid for by people who chose to give.

How Your Donation Reaches Us

1

You give through PayPal

The Donate button opens our PayPal page. You can pay with a PayPal balance, a card, or a bank account — no PayPal account required.

2

The funds land in the Initiative account

Donations go directly to the Dandora Initiative PayPal account. PayPal deducts its standard processing fee; nothing else is taken in between.

3

The money goes to the programmes

Funds are drawn down against programme costs — meals, learning materials, and athletic development — and reported back on this site.

Where Your Money Goes

The Movement System and the Initiative

The Movement System is a platform created by Dr. Matthew Casturo. It is an outstanding resource for understanding movement, strength, rehabilitation, and performance. His ability to combine scientific evidence with practical application is truly impressive. His dedication to education, critical thinking, and improving professional practice makes his work highly valuable and inspiring to anyone passionate about fitness

A friendship built on shared ideology in Exercise Science between Richard Omondi, a Kenyan based strength and conditioning coach and Dr. Matthew Casturo was the foundation behind the Dandora Initiative.

Dr. Matthew has been instrumental in building the initiative from the ground up. He believed in it  when it was nothing more than an idea. He supported it from the ground up, helping with the fundamental building blocks that made it possible to turn a vision into something real. His guidance, trust, sponsorship, and willingness to invest in the project at its earliest stage meant more than I can put into words. When there was no established foundation, Dr. Casturo helped us build one. The Dandora community will always be grateful that he believed in the vision before it had the opportunity to prove itself.
